Positions are available in our capital projects and electrical transmission areas. The primary focus will be to manage the overall cost, quality, and schedule projects within the aforementioned areas. These positions are full time positions based in Calgary, Alberta and will report to the Manager, Projects within the specific division.

Responsibilities

  • Involved in project initiation, developing and optimizing project alternatives, develop detailed project cost estimates and cash flows.
  • Directing a project team, establishing project procedures, preparation of equipment and specifications.
  • Effectively manage projects ranging up to $50 Million.
  • Manage overall cost, quality, schedule and safety to meet the project objectives.
  • Effectively and accurately report project status, finances to internal and external customers, stakeholders and schedule to senior management.
  • Assemble and lead cross function project teams to align with the project business purposes by applying fundamentals of proven project management practices and processes.

  • Must possess strong oral and communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Strong Leadership capability.
  • Strong team player.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic changing environment. Education & Experience: Education:
  • Degree in Engineering or Registered Professional Technologist.
  • Project Management Certification would be an asset. Experience:
  • Experience in project cost control and schedule/critical path analysis
  • Minimum of three years experience in the electrical utility field would be an asset.
  • EPC or Construction experience would be an asset.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams.
